Discrepancies in Reported Quantities: Upon verifying the case files and evidence, it is confirmed that during the search executed on April 9, 2026 (Republic of China Year 115), authorities seized approximately 3 grams of suspected Etomidate powder and approximately 50 grams of suspected Etomidate liquid. Regarding the large quantities of seized vape cartridges, e-cigarettes, and other items reported by the media, it has not yet been verified whether they contain nicotine or narcotics. As of today, this Office has not received the official drug laboratory analysis report. Therefore, the quantities reported by the media may not align with the actual case files and evidence.

Detention Determination and Legal Basis: After reviewing all evidence submitted by the referring agency, the prosecutor determined that the evidence was insufficient to support the agency's allegations that the defendant was involved in the manufacturing or trafficking of narcotics. Consequently, no motion for pretrial detention was filed.
The prosecutor handled this case appropriately and in accordance with the law, based on a careful assessment of the specific criminal facts, level of suspicion, and available evidence. There was no impropriety in the handling of this matter.
