The confirmed cases in Taiwan have surged recently, and the aims of Taiwan's epidemic prevention measures are back to normalcy, active epidemic prevention, and a solid opening policy. In response to the current pandemic situation and preventive measures, Chief Prosecutor Chang is encouraging the general populace and employees in the office to download the Taiwan Social Distancing APP. As of today, the populace must show the APP information to make sure no contact with confirmed cases or respiratory symptoms before entering the building. If their movements overlap with confirmed cases, the APP will send an alert message to their phones. We will send the leaflet of the APP with the summons to the populace, and please download this APP before coming to our office.

Additionally, during the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus, the general populace must stay calm when receiving epidemic information and not spread fake messages. According to Special Act for Prevention, Relief and Revitalization Measures for Severe Pneumonia with Novel Pathogens, Individuals who disseminate rumors or false information regarding the epidemic conditions of severe pneumonia with novel pathogens, causing damage to the public or others, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years or criminal detention, or a fine of no more than NT$3 million.
