In handling the case involving defendant Lin O-feng for suspected violations of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Election and Recall Act and the Anti-Infiltration Act, the Supreme Court issued a final judgment on July 29, 2026, dismissing the appeal. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment and deprivation of civil rights for 3 years. Upon receiving notification from the Supreme Court, this Office immediately activated its flight prevention mechanism and implemented monitoring measures to prevent the defendant from absconding and to ensure the effective exercise of state penal authority. The defendant, Lin O-feng, fully aware that the Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) of Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, Mainland China, is an organization under an foreign hostile force and a source of infiltration, accepted instructions, entrustment, and funding from Lin O, Director of the said TAO. Lin O-feng recruited and led groups of eligible voters from Taiwan to travel to Mainland China for a six-day, five-night tour. Tour members were only required to cover basic costs such as airfare and local transportation within Taiwan, while all expenses for lodging, meals, transportation, and sightseeing in Mainland China were fully subsidized through "ground hospitality" by the Taizhou TAO. During banquets, speeches advocating support for specific presidential candidates were delivered, conveying illegal benefits to induce voting individuals to exercise their voting rights in a specific manner.

Following the indictment filed by Prosecutor Chang Chien-chiang of this Office, the Tainan Branch of the Taiwan High Court issued Criminal Judgment No. 1 (2025)-Guo-Xuan-Shang-Shu, sentencing Lin O-feng to 4 years of imprisonment and deprivation of civil rights for 3 years. He was convicted as a joint offender under Article 7 of the Anti-Infiltration Act and Article 86, Paragraph 1 of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Election and Recall Act for delivering illegal benefits to voting individuals under the instructions, entrustment, or funding of an infiltration source. Following an appeal filed by the defendant, the Supreme Court permanently dismissed the appeal in Criminal Judgment No. 6571 (2025)-Tai-Shang on July 29, 2026, making the conviction final.
