With the Republic of China’s (Taiwan) 9-in-1 Local Elections scheduled for November 28, 2026 (Year 115), the Chiayi District Prosecutors Office held a grand "Tech Anti-Bribery, Nationwide Informant Network" press conference today (17th) in the office lobby to ensure a clean and pure election climate. The event highlighted the core theme that "the most effective anti-bribery campaign is the strictest investigation of bribery." It also marked the debut of two self-produced anti-bribery promotional videos targeting the younger generation, announcing plans to fully integrate local resources and folk festivals to seamlessly weave anti-bribery messaging into the daily lives of citizens.

To showcase a "cross-generational and cross-disciplinary" campaign strategy, the press conference featured an appearance by Chiayi’s wildly popular local mascot—the Chiayi City Police Department’s "Big White Bear"—along with an exquisite Taiwanese Opera performance by the renowned "Da-Xin Opera Troupe." The Chiayi District Prosecutors Office simultaneously recorded the traditional opera performance, which will be precision-played to elderly residents in grassroots communities moving forward.

Meanwhile, to target the younger generation, the office premiered two creative videos of starkly different styles:

• The first is "AI Battle Beyblade," a highly tech-oriented video that uses trendy elements to capture the attention of youth.

• The second is a lively, self-produced anti-bribery music video (MV) that uses music to leave a lasting impression, calling on the younger generation to jointly protect democratic values.

The vibrant press conference fully demonstrated a dynamic, cross-generational and cross-disciplinary approach to public awareness.

Tsai Tzung-Shi, Chief Prosecutor of the Chiayi District Prosecutors Office, emphasized that even though law enforcement units—including prosecutors, police, investigators, anti-corruption officials, and immigration officers—are working together with total dedication to investigate vote-buying, true democratic foundations still rely on the collective support of the public. During this period, the office has continued to hold regional election investigation seminars as well as briefings on vote-buying laws and investigation techniques at various police precincts. In addition to in-depth reviews of past cases to sharpen enforcement capabilities, Chief Prosecutor Tsai urged that only through active public participation and joint oversight—achieving a comprehensive "nationwide informant network" (planting "mines")—can the culture of bribery be eradicated, allowing clean elections to truly take root in Chiayi.

Huang Yu-yuan, Chief Prosecutor of the Tainan High Prosecutors Office, also remarked that Chiayi has long enjoyed the reputation of being a "Sacred Land of Democracy." Local communities and law enforcement teams will undoubtedly dedicate even greater effort to jointly maintaining clean elections and implementing anti-bribery initiatives, aiming to safeguard this democratic sanctuary with firmer resolve and dedication.

At the climax of the event, Chief Prosecutor Huang and Chief Prosecutor Tsai led the distinguished guests in a "ribbon-pulling launch ceremony." As everyone pulled the ropes together, it symbolized the official launch of the "Tech Anti-Bribery Network" in the Chiayi region. The investigation team is poised to act with lightning speed, demonstrating an iron-fisted resolve to crack down on bribery and unitedly safeguard a clean electoral environment in Chiayi.
