After a one-year hiatus, the "2026 20th Taiwan International Agriculture Machinery and Materials Exhibition"—the largest agricultural event in Taiwan—was grandly held for three consecutive days from May 30 to June 1 in the area opposite the plaza in front of the Chiayi County Government. The event attracted hundreds of manufacturers showcasing the latest smart equipment for agriculture, forestry, fishery, and animal husbandry, as well as local agricultural specialties, drawing massive crowds of visitors. To deepen the public’s legal awareness, the Taiwan Chiayi District Prosecutors Office specially set up a booth at this international exhibition to promote "anti-fraud" and "anti-bribery" concepts to participating farmers and the general public, allowing legal awareness to take root alongside modern agricultural technology.

The Chiayi District Prosecutors Office stated that fraud techniques have evolved endlessly in recent years. From impersonating relatives and friends and online shopping scams to fake investment traps targeting senior citizens or rural communities, scams have become omnipresent, posing a serious threat to the security of public property. In response, through the distribution of promotional materials, interactive Q&A sessions, and real case analyses at the exhibition site, the Prosecutors Office reminded local farmers and tourists to adhere to the three-step principle of "Stay Calm, Verify, and Call the Police." They urged the public never to trust unverified messages or investment channels, to keep the 165 Anti-Fraud Hotline in mind, and to protect their hard-earned money.

In addition to anti-fraud efforts, and in response to future grassroots elections and the deepening of democracy, the Chiayi District Prosecutors Office also placed "anti-bribery and maintaining election integrity" as a core focus of this campaign. At the venue, promotion personnel actively conveyed the correct concept of "no vote-buying, no vote-selling" to the public, encouraging citizens to courageously step forward and report any instances of bribery to jointly safeguard a clean democratic environment. The Prosecutors Office also emphasized that the government not only maintains strict confidentiality mechanisms for reporting bribery but also offers high cash rewards for informants. They called on the entire nation to act as the "eyes and ears" of prosecutors, leaving bribery with nowhere to hide.

The three-day International Agri-Machinery Exhibition is expected to attract tens of thousands of farmers and visitors from all over Taiwan. The promotional booth of the Chiayi District Prosecutors Office prepared a rich array of informational materials and interactive gifts, creating a lively atmosphere of engagement. The Prosecutors Office emphasized that legal awareness campaigns must integrate into the daily lives of citizens. In the future, the office will continue to proactively engage with the community by partnering with various large-scale local cultural, artistic, and industrial events, aiming to establish a comprehensive social network against fraud and bribery, and to work together to build a safe, clean, just, and prosperous society.
