The defendant, Hong (Male, born in 2001), posted anonymous comments on the Facebook group "Baofei Gongshe" (爆廢公社) on January 24, 2026. The posts threatened to launch attacks against random members of the public at mass transit stations.

Following an overnight interrogation, Prosecutor Hsiao determined that the defendant is heavily suspected of Offenses Against Public Safety (Intimidating the Public).
