Chang Chien-Chiang and Wu, Hsin Lan, the prosecutors of Chiayi District Prosecutors Office, have directed the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau Chiayi City Field Office and police to investigate a candidate of chiefs of villages bribery case. On September 29th, the prosecutors summoned 15 defendants for investigation. According to the Civil Servants Election and Recall Act, the defendants surnamed Wu and surnamed Lin were submitted to the Taiwan Chiayi District Court for detention orders, then released on bail by the court.

Chiayi District Prosecutors Office would monitor and pay attention to anti-bribery as usual, and protect democratic values. Our office also issued a toll-free number, 0800-024-099 ext.4, for fair voting on which citizens can complain about bribery.
