| Application Item | Application for Crime victim compensation |
| Application Content | Pecuniary compensation payable by the state in accordance with this Act to the family members of deceased victims, seriously injured victims of criminal acts, and victims of sexual assault crimes for their property losses and mental distress. |
| The Requester | 1. Compensation to family members of deceased victims: payable to the family members of deceased victims of criminal acts. 2. Compensation to seriously injured victims: payable to seriously injured victims of criminal acts. 3. Compensation to victims of sexual assaults: payable to victims of sexual assault crimes. |
| Application Procedure | Any person claiming crime victim compensation under this Act shall file a written application with the Review Committee at the jurisdiction where the criminal act at issue was committed. |
| Attach with Documents | Death or serious injury certificate, Expense receipt of medical treatment cost, Expense receipt of funeral expenses, and copy of household Certificate, the certificate or application form of victimization due to crime. |
| Accepting Authority | The Review Committee at the jurisdiction where the criminal act at issue was committed |
| Application Period | Within 2 years from the time when the crime was known or within 5 years from the time when the crime occurred. |
| Disposal Time Limit | Within three (3) months, But if the case is complicated, the time limit needs to be relatively extended. |
| Review Authority | The Review Committee shall examine a compensation claim and render its decision in writing on the compensation claim within three (3) months of the date of its receipt of the application for compensation. |
