On May 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in response to continued severity of COVID-19 in Taiwan and an increasing level of community transmission, shown by cases of unknown sources of infection as well as cluster infections in Taipei City and New Taipei City, it would raise the epidemic warning level for the two cities to Level 3 . From now until May 28 of the same year, the summoned parties or litigation-related personnel (such as defense attorney, telling agents, expert witnesses , witnesses, etc.) in the third-level alert area of the epidemic situation and the execution of security preservation measures are to suspend .The scheduled court period and the due date of the case shall be cancelled in principle except for urgent matters.

In addition to the announcement on the website and Facebook, Taiwan Chiayi District Prosecutors Office will also take the initiative in notifying the parties in the third-level epidemic prevention area to postpone the court session.
